British National Charged in Major Drug and Firearm Trafficking Bust at Port Castries

British national Glen Stephens has been charged following a significant breakthrough by the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force, in collaboration with the Gangs, Narcotics, and Firearms Unit and the Customs and Excise Department, in disrupting a transnational drug and firearm trafficking operation.

The incident unfolded on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, when officers responded to reports of a suspicious container at Port Castries. A joint operation uncovered concealed packages of cannabis resin, cannabis-infused products, firearm components, and related paraphernalia hidden within a vehicle shipped from England.

Through swift and coordinated investigations, two persons of interest were initially detained. Glen Stephens, aged forty-seven, was subsequently arrested and formally charged on Thursday, May 15, 2025. He faces six charges, including the importation and possession of controlled drugs, and possession with intent to supply.

On Thursday, May 15, 2025, Glen Stephens appeared at the First District Court for a bail hearing and was granted bail set at twenty-two thousand dollars cash or a suitable surety, along with other court-imposed conditions.
