The third annual Step Out: Style, Etiquette & Image Women’s Conference was nothing short of transformational as over 100 dynamic women gathered at the Harbor Club Hotel on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, for a full day of empowerment, confidence-building, and career-focused inspiration.

Spearheaded by certified image consultant and founder of Lov3ly Makeup Artistry and Image Consultancy, Vernessa Henry-Long, this year’s theme—“From Style to Strategy: Cultivating an Executive Image That Speaks Success”—challenged participants to elevate their presence using the ABCs of success: Appearance, Behavior, and Communication.
Opening with a moving praise and worship segment led by Albina Henry-Raphael, the event quickly transitioned into high gear with a spirited icebreaker led by Mistress of Ceremonies, Tracy Pilgrim George. From there, attendees were inspired by powerful messages from media veteran Maureen Alexander and the visionary Alisha Ally, setting an uplifting and transformative tone for the day.

Key presentations delivered practical insights and tools for personal and professional growth, including:
Vernessa Henry-Long on crafting an executive image with impact.
Leonne Theodore-John, attorney and style enthusiast, on the importance of proper bra fitting.
Wendy Delmar, respected CEO, who unpacked the concept of discovering one’s signature style and leadership voice.
The experience was elevated with cocktail tastings by Marigot Bay, JP Chenet, and Schweppes, a Sip & Shop experience featuring Duty Free Caribbean and Colombian Emeralds, and professional headshot sessions courtesy of Images by Louise and GDA Production.
An afternoon salsa dance break energized the room before participants tested their knowledge in a lively “Know the Dress Code” challenge with style pieces from Wings of Love and Island & Co. The day culminated in an engaging Panel Discussion, where eight accomplished women from diverse fields shared their journeys, struggles, and strategies for success. Panelists included:
Natalie Glitzenhirn-Augustin, Sergin David, Sharlene Jn Baptiste, Dora Henry, Safiya Paul, Jacinta James, Wendy Delmar, and Vernessa Henry-Long herself.
“STEP OUT 2025 was truly remarkable—spirit-led and empowering!” said Henry-Long. “So many women hold back because of fear. This event is about shifting that mindset—stepping into our power, supporting one another, and making the network work.”
The conference was made possible through the tireless efforts of a passionate planning team and the generous support of dozens of corporate and community partners, including LUCELEC, Ministry of Tourism, Harbor Club Hotel, CIBC Caribbean, Bank of Saint Lucia, and St. Lucia Distillers, among many others.
Step Out 2025 closed with a resonant call to action:
“Step out of your comfort zone. Step into your purpose. And build meaningful connections—Network, Network, Network!”
