According to reports, officers intercepted a vehicle driven by Lucius Popo of Micoud at approximately 2:30 a.m. on March 17, 2025. A search of the vehicle uncovered a substantial quantity of a white substance, suspected to be cocaine, with an estimated street value of EC$1,431,750. Additionally, police recovered a firearm—a significant find in their ongoing fight against gun violence.

Popo, along with his passenger Khaleel Richardson, also of Micoud, were immediately arrested and transported to Micoud Police Station. The seized drugs, weighing heavily on both suspects’ fate, carry an estimated street value exceeding EC$1.4 million.

Following formal interviews conducted on March 18, 2025, both individuals were charged with possession of cocaine and illegal firearms offenses. They appeared before the Vieux Fort Magistrate’s Court, where the judge remanded them to the Bordelais Correctional Facility until their next hearing set for April 17, 2025.
