Saint Lucia’s Homicide Count Rises to Ten Following the Killing of an Aux Lyon Man

Saint Lucia has recorded yet another homicide, adding to a troubling start to 2025. A total of ten killings have been recorded since the beginning of the year. The latest incident occurred in Dennery, where a 66-year-old man was fatally wounded bringing the total for February alone to seven.

According to the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF), officers from the Richfond Police Station responded to a report of a chopping at Montego Bay, Aux Lyon, Dennery, at approximately 4:02 p.m. on Sunday, February 23, 2025. Upon arrival, they discovered the unresponsive body of Augustus Forde, a resident of Aux Lyon, with severe head wounds. A medical practitioner later pronounced him dead at the scene.

The motive behind the killing is unclear but authorities are urging anyone with information on this incident to come forward. Reports can be made to the Richfond Police Station at 456-3690 or anonymously through the Crime Hotline at 555.
