The Government of Saint Lucia has officially appointed former Cabinet Secretary Ben Emmanuel as the new chairperson of the Millennium Heights Medical Complex Board, signaling a strategic move to enhance the island’s healthcare governance. “The Cabinet of Ministers has agreed to appoint Mr. Ben Emmanuel as the chairperson of the Millennium Heights Medical Complex Board,” Minister Jn Baptiste confirmed, while also outlining the key members who will support Emmanuel in his new role. The board includes Dr. Alicia Eugene Ford as Deputy Chairperson, former Chief Environmental Health Officer Wen Gabriel, Perry Thomas, Dr. Kedmar Door, and Jenny Daniel, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Elderly Affairs. Additionally, representatives from a union representing employees of the medical complex and a recognized consumer association will be confirmed this week.

Dr. Damian Greaves, Director of Clinical Services, and the Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Heights Medical Complex will also serve on the board, ensuring a strong synergy between leadership and medical administration. Minister Jn Baptiste welcomed Emmanuel’s appointment, emphasizing his extensive experience and the government’s confidence in his ability to guide the future of the nation’s premier healthcare facility.
