“Nobel Laureate Day is a reminder of the greatness that we can achieve as Saint Lucians. Despite our smallness, our people can become trailblazers,” 

Prime Minister Pierre stated. “As we commemorate the life and work of Sir William Arthur Lewis and Sir Derek Alton Walcott, let us look at our own lives, resolving to be the best version of ourselves. We have a rich history and the shoulders of giants to stand on. Let our work, creativity, and resilience be our gifts to society and future generations.”
