Must Read

Chief Executive Officer of Export Saint Lucia, Sunita Daniel, has outlined an ambitious vision for 2026, building on what she described as a year of meaningful progress, strengthened partnerships and growing international reach for Saint Lucian products and services.

Reflecting on the organization’s accomplishments in 2025, Daniel emphasized the importance of collaboration and shared purpose in advancing the national export agenda. “Moving Saint Lucia Forward, Together. This year reminded us that meaningful progress is built through collaboration, resilience, and shared purpose. Export Saint Lucia’s proud vision of supporting our local producers and creatives while safeguarding the reputation of Saint Lucian exports was reflected by our work and success in 2025. We thank our team, partners, clients, and every Saint Lucian who continues to support our mission as we prepare for even greater impact in 2026,” Daniel stated.

Throughout 2025, Export Saint Lucia played a pivotal role in strengthening the island’s export ecosystem by assisting and facilitating dozens of entrepreneurs, producers and creatives to expand beyond the local market.

The agency provided technical support, market access facilitation, compliance guidance and promotional assistance to ensure Saint Lucian goods and services met international standards.

Among the standout successes were expanded exports of agricultural and agro-processed products, including breadfruit, dasheen, seamoss-based products, sauces, condiments and natural wellness items. These products have found growing demand across Caribbean and international markets, creating new income streams for farmers, processors and small business owners.

Export Saint Lucia also supported creative entrepreneurs in fashion, beauty, digital services and cultural products, helping to position Saint Lucia not only as a tourism destination but as a competitive producer of high-quality, culturally rooted goods and services.

Looking ahead to 2026, Daniel indicated that the organization will deepen its focus on innovation, export readiness, market diversification and strategic partnerships, while continuing to champion local enterprise development and economic resilience. “Our work goes beyond exports, it is about empowering Saint Lucians, creating sustainable livelihoods and building confidence in the quality of what we produce,” Daniel said. “The momentum built in 2025 has laid a strong foundation, and we are committed to scaling that impact in the year ahead.”

As Export Saint Lucia prepares for the next phase of its growth, stakeholders across agriculture, manufacturing, creative industries and digital services are expected to benefit from expanded programmes aimed at making Saint Lucian products more visible, competitive and profitable on the global stage.
