The Government of Saint Lucia continues to place high priority on improving the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) as part of its broader strategy to strengthen the
country’s investment climate and stimulate sustainable economic growth.
Minister of Tourism, Commerce, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Heritage, Dr. Ernest Hilaire, has placed Ease of Doing Business among the key priorities on his agenda, recognizing its critical role in supporting business growth and attracting both local and foreign investment.
In an increasingly globalized and competitive environment, improving the ease with which businesses operate is viewed as an essential catalyst for economic development. The Government is therefore focused on ensuring that systems, regulations, and institutional processes support a modern, efficient, and responsive business environment.
Central to this effort is the strengthening of key Ease of Doing Business indicators, ensuring that the regulatory and administrative framework facilitates investment and promotes seamless and efficient business operations.
By improving these processes, the Government aims to position Saint Lucia as an attractive destination for investors while also supporting the growth and competitiveness of local enterprises.
To advance these efforts, the 2026 Ease of Doing Business Forum will provide an important platform for dialogue between the public and private sectors.
The forum will allow stakeholders to discuss challenges, share perspectives, and identify practical solutions that can inform policy decisions and reforms aimed at enhancing the country’s business environment.
The Ease of Doing Business Forum will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., at the Finance Administrative Centre.
