A shooting incident in Bexon on Sunday has left two people dead and another injured, further escalating concerns over gun violence over the past few days.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but the latest killings have pushed Saint Lucia’s homicide count to 18 for the year so far.
The violence comes amid a troubling string of recent incidents. On Saturday, the body of a young male was discovered in La Clery with apparent gunshot wounds. In a separate case, another body was found at La Panse, while earlier in the week, a man was fatally shot multiple times by gunmen along Darling Road in Castries.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims or confirmed any motives linked to the attacks.
The recent surge in violent crime has heightened public concern, as multiple communities continue to grapple with the impact of gun-related incidents.
Police are expected to provide further updates as investigations continue.
At this time, no additional details are available.
