Police have charged two individuals following the execution of search warrants at Ti Morne, Gros Islet, which led to the recovery of a substantial sum of cash and a quantity of cannabis resin.
According to law enforcement sources, officers carried out the operations on February 5, 2026, at premises linked to 35-year-old Lance Alfred, also known as “Bolo,” and 36-year-old Tresha Richard. During the searches, officers reportedly seized approximately US$13,000 in cash along with cannabis resin.
Both Alfred and Richard were arrested and later charged with possession of cannabis resin and possession of cannabis resin with intent to supply. They appeared before a magistrate on Friday, February 6, 2026, where each was granted bail in the sum of $1,500 cash.
In light of the large amount of cash recovered and the circumstances surrounding its discovery, investigators initiated the cash seizure process under Section 29(a) of Saint Lucia’s Crime Act.
Authorities suspect the money to be proceeds of criminal conduct.
The matter has since been referred to the Financial Intelligence Authority, which has assumed an active role in pursuing the cash seizure and conducting further financial investigations.
Police say investigations into the matter are ongoing.
