The St. Lucia Teachers’ Union (SLTU) has announced the official dates for its upcoming elections, which will determine the leadership of the union for the 2026–2028 term.
In a notice issued by the SLTU Elections Commission and dated January 25, 2026, the Commission confirmed that elections will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Nomination Day has been set for Wednesday, February 25, 2026.
According to the Commission, nomination forms may be obtained by union members who are eligible to vote. Completed nomination papers must be submitted by nominees in person, along with their curriculum vitae, to the Secretary of the Elections Commission at the SLTU Headquarters on Coral Street, Castries, between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on Nomination Day.

1st Vice President
2nd Vice President
Treasurer
General Secretary
Deputy General Secretary
Public Relations Officer
The Elections Commission noted that nomination papers are available at the SLTU office on Coral Street and encouraged interested members to adhere strictly to the outlined procedures and deadlines.
The SLTU Elections Commission said the announcement forms part of its mandate under the union’s constitution to ensure a transparent and orderly electoral process, while keeping the general membership and the wider public fully informed ahead of the 2026 elections.
