Carnival Queen Emerle Tisson Turns Crown Into Purpose, Community Impact

Must Read

Saint Lucia’s 2025 Carnival Queen, Emerle Tisson, says her reign so far has been a rewarding and meaningful experience, marked by strong support, purposeful outreach, and steady progress on the goals she set for herself.

Speaking on her journey since being crowned, Tisson described her reign as positive and fulfilling, crediting her success to the backing of her family, supporters, and sponsor, Bank of Saint Lucia. “So far my reign has been wonderful. I really can’t complain about how everything has been going,” Tisson said. “I had plans that I wanted to execute, and with the help of my supporters, my family, and especially my sponsor, I’ve been able to do just that.”

Tisson has already made significant strides in community engagement, including visits to patients in the south of the island and outreach initiatives aimed at giving back. She also returned to her alma mater, where she shared her experiences and encouraged students to pursue their goals with confidence.

While noting that she is satisfied with her progress so far, the reigning queen hinted that there is more to come. “I don’t want to let everything out of the box,” she said. “I want some things to be a surprise.”

Among the initiatives currently in the works is a fashion show, with proceeds set to benefit the Cancer Society of Saint Lucia. The event, she explained, forms part of her commitment to using her platform to support meaningful causes.

Despite a busy schedule, Tisson said her reign has not been overwhelming, describing the experience as smooth and well-supported. “I wouldn’t say it has been intense,” she noted. “I’ve been receiving a lot of support, and everything has been moving smoothly so far.”

Addressing young women across the island, Tisson offered words of encouragement, urging them to remain focused on their own journeys. “Believe in yourself and believe in your dreams,” she said. “You can achieve anything you put your mind to. Never compare yourself to others, because many young people focus on the success of others and forget their own path. Trust in God, pray, and everything will work out in the end.”

Looking beyond her reign, the Carnival Queen says her journey is far from over. Tisson revealed plans to continue competing in pageantry while expanding her community outreach efforts across Saint Lucia. She also reaffirmed her commitment to advocating for mental health, a cause she says remains close to her heart. “I will continue my pageantry journey and my community outreach programs,” Tisson said. “I want to give back to different communities across Saint Lucia and continue advocating for mental health, because many young people are dealing with issues and don’t always know where to turn.”

As her reign continues, Emerle Tisson says she remains focused on service, advocacy, and inspiring young Saint Lucians to pursue their dreams with confidence and purpose.
