The island has been rocked by another night of gun violence, leaving one man dead in Dennery and another hospitalized in critical condition following a separate shooting in Soufrière.
24-year-old Jay Collimore of Dennery aka Juice Box was fatally shot in the community of Trou Allow around 2:45 a.m. Saturday. He was rushed to hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. Investigators have not disclosed the circumstances leading to the fatal attack, but reports suggest that an argument may have preceded the shooting.
Meanwhile, in Soufrière, a second shooting has left another man nursing serious injuries. The victim, who has not yet been publicly identified, was transported to St. Jude Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police have yet to confirm whether any arrests have been made in connection with either incident. Authorities continue to appeal to the public for information as investigations into both matters are ongoing.
