Two Arrested and Charged for Firearm and Ammunition Possession in Anse La Raye

Craig Hippolyte of Au Tabor, Anse La Raye, was arrested and formally charged for Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition following a routine police patrol on the night of Tuesday, May 20, 2025. Around 10:15 p.m., officers attached to the Anse La Raye Police Station stopped and searched a motor vehicle in the Anse La Raye Village. During the search, one (1) .22 firearm and one (1) round of .22 ammunition were recovered on Hippolyte.

He was later escorted to the First District Court on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, for bail consideration. Bail was granted in the sum of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) for Possession of Firearm and ten thousand dollars ($10,000) for Possession of Ammunition, along with other court-imposed conditions.

In a separate incident, Kevin Jamerson was arrested and charged for Possession of Firearm and Possession of Ammunition after police conducted a search during a patrol in Au Tabor, Anse La Raye, around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2025. Officers recovered one (1) 9mm Taurus pistol, thirteen (13) rounds of 9mm ammunition, and an extended magazine from Jamerson.

On Monday, May 26, 2025, he appeared before the First District Court where he was granted bail in the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) for the firearm charge and fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) for the ammunition charge, along with additional conditions.

The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force continues its efforts to ensure community safety and the reduction of illegal firearm possession.
