Must Read

The Department of Education, Innovation, and Vocational Training has confirmed that it is currently reviewing the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) programme offered by Formato Business School in Spain, following mounting public inquiries about the recognition and long-term value of the qualification.

The review comes in response to concerns raised by past and present students regarding the programme’s academic equivalency and certification status in Saint Lucia. In a statement issued on May 22, 2025, the Department acknowledged the significant financial and personal investments made by individuals enrolled in the programme and assured them that efforts are underway to address their concerns.

“The Department remains committed to ensuring that all educational programmes meet national standards for quality and recognition,” the statement noted. Authorities are engaging with relevant stakeholders to determine a viable path toward certified recognition that supports both the professional development and academic progression of graduates.

The Ministry has pledged to keep the public informed as consultations advance, thanking all stakeholders for their patience as it works toward a solution that protects the integrity of the country’s education system.
