In a statement issued on Wednesday, CWI confirmed that it is in “active communication with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), and our players currently involved in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Pakistan Super League (PSL).”

The regional governing body emphasized that the safety of its players remains paramount. “The welfare of our people remains our highest priority,” the statement affirmed.

CWI further noted that it continues to receive “regular updates through diplomatic, governmental, and cricketing channels” and assured it “stands ready to offer assistance where necessary.”
