Kerwin DuBois Brings Raw Energy and Community Vibes to Soufrière Jazz This Sunday

Must Read

Trinidadian soca powerhouse Kerwin DuBois is promising a high-energy, crowd-driven performance as he gears up to take the stage at Soufrière Jazz: The Ultimate Experience on Sunday, May 5th. Known for his dynamic stage presence and hits like “Too Real” and “Bacchanalist,” DuBois says his approach to performing is all about vibe, spontaneity, and a strong connection with the audience.

“I actually basically gauge the crowd to see how they’re feeding and what they’re feeding off,” he explained. “So when I go up there, I’ll be able to eat, and then I’ll be able to feed back. It’s spontaneous, and it’s energy for energy. You give me that energy, I give you what you’re asking for.”

DuBois, who is one of nine artistes on the bill alongside four bands, sees the Soufrière Jazz event not just as a concert but as a celebration of community spirit and local talent.

“What is there to think about?” he asked with a smile. “Come on, you already said we’re doing this for the community… You hadda come out and jam. It’s all about Soufrière Jazz.”

With Kerwin DuBois on the lineup, the Sunday showcase is set to be an unmissable, feel-good event pulsing with soca rhythm and island pride.
