Saint Lucia Unveils National Athletics Team for CARIFTA 2025

The Saint Lucia Athletics Association (SLAA) officially unveiled the island’s national track and field team for the 2025 CARIFTA Games at a press briefing held at Olympic House in La Clery on Wednesday morning.

With the 2025 CARIFTA Games scheduled to take place in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago from April 19 to 21, anticipation and national pride filled the room as SLAA President Dora Henry delivered opening remarks. She emphasized the enduring importance of the regional competition and the Association’s unwavering commitment to athlete development and sporting excellence.

The presentation formally introduced the athletes selected across various categories, showcasing Saint Lucia’s young talent ready to compete against the Caribbean’s best. The team includes standout performers in sprints, hurdles, jumps, and middle-distance events — many of whom train locally, while others currently attend international institutions in Jamaica and the United States.
