The report, which quickly spread online, lacked verified details but triggered widespread concern among fans and fellow athletes.
Alfred, however, was quick to set the record straight when contacted by Saint Lucia Daily Post.
“I want to reassure everyone that I am perfectly fine and in good health,” she stated. “There was no accident. I’m currently training and preparing for my next event.”
