Choiseul, Saint Lucia – A disturbing case of physical violence has left a Choiseul community in shock after a 74-year-old man was discovered dead following an alleged assault on Thursday afternoon.
The Saint Lucia Fire Service received an emergency call at approximately 2:46 p.m. on March 20, 2025, reporting a suspected assault in the area of Industry, Choiseul. Upon arrival, emergency responders found the elderly victim, later identified as Ken Ishmael, lying motionless on the ground. Several police officers were already present at the scene.
Initial medical assessments revealed that Mr. Ishmael exhibited no signs of life. First responders noted a deep laceration to the back of his neck, indicating a possible violent encounter.
The scene was officially handed over to law enforcement authorities, who have since launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
