Tragedy Strikes La Haut as Resident Dies in Tree Pruning Accident

La Haut, Micoud has been rocked by the tragic loss of local resident Claude Stephen, 35, who passed away while pruning a breadfruit tree on Monday, March 16.

In a heartfelt statement, Jeremiah Norbert, the Member of Parliament for Micoud North, expressed deep sorrow over the incident. “Our community has been shaken by the untimely and tragic passing of a young man on Monday. Words cannot adequately express the sorrow we feel at his loss,” Norbert stated.

Norbert extended his condolences to Stephen’s family and friends, emphasizing the importance of community solidarity. “In this time of grief, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. May you find strength and peace in the love and support surrounding you,” he added.

He also reassured the community of their collective support, urging everyone to stand together. “Please know that our community is here to support those affected in any way possible.
