Three SDA School Students Injured in Unusual Accident Near Gablewoods Shopping Mall

On Monday afternoon, a freak accident led to three students from SDA School, aged between 15 and 17, being transported to the hospital. Around 3:00 PM, the Saint Lucia Fire and Emergency Services received an urgent call for assistance at the vicinity of the Gablewoods shopping mall. Upon arrival, emergency responders found the students suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

According to eyewitness reports, the incident occurred when a wheel unexpectedly detached from a passing truck, striking the students as they stood at a nearby bus stop waiting for their ride home. 

The quick response from emergency services ensured the trio were promptly taken to the hospital for further medical evaluation and treatment. Though the injuries were not life-threatening, medical personnel are conducting thorough assessments to ensure the students’ well-being.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to prevent future occurrences and ensure public safety.
