The Saint Lucia Fire Service (SLFS) has commended its dedicated men and women for their tireless commitment in ensuring public safety during the island’s 46th Independence anniversary celebrations. Their efforts played a crucial role in the seamless execution of national events, which took place from February 21st to 23rd.
Speaking on behalf of the department, Deputy Chief Fire Officer Thomas John expressed deep appreciation for both the firefighters and stakeholders across the island who contributed to a safe and successful celebration. He acknowledged the sacrifices made by fire officers, many of whom spent the holiday on duty instead of with family, remaining ready to respond to emergencies.
