Digicel, one of the leading telecommunications providers across the Caribbean, Central America, and the Pacific regions, is grappling with extensive technical difficulties impacting all its markets. As of Tuesday, thousands of customers have reported disruptions across multiple services, including IPTV, plan activations, bill payments, and top-ups.

The telecommunications giant took to social media to issue a public advisory, acknowledging the ongoing service disruptions. “We are currently experiencing technical difficulties affecting multiple services, including IPTV, plan activations, bill payments, and top-ups. Our team is working hard to resolve these issues and restore services as quickly as possible,” the company stated.

Digicel expressed gratitude for customers’ patience and encouraged them to stay connected through social media channels, WhatsApp, and SMS for ongoing updates.

Reports of service interruptions have flooded social media, with frustrated customers voicing concerns over the seemingly indefinite timeline for restoration.

“I rely on Digicel for my business communications and this outage is costing me,” tweeted one user, capturing the pervasive sentiment among Digicel’s clientele.

“And you still gonna charge people the full amount on their bill. Give every single customer a rebate,” another posted under the Company’s advisory.

This network outage comes at a critical time when reliable connectivity is essential for work-from-home arrangements, remote learning, and digital commerce.

Numerous subscribers have expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of a clear resolution timeframe, placing added pressure on Digicel to act swiftly and transparently.
