Castries, Saint Lucia – The Royal Saint Lucia Police Force (RSLPF) has formally charged Veteran Sergeant Ricardo Jerson Charlemagne for the offence of stealing, following the disappearance of an M16 rifle from the Gros Islet Police Station armoury on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
The firearm remains unaccounted for, raising serious concerns within the force and the public. The Major Crimes Unit continues to pursue all possible leads to recover the missing weapon.
In an official statement, the RSLPF acknowledged the gravity of this breach of trust but commended the investigators for their professionalism and dedication in handling the case. The police force reassured the public of its commitment to accountability and transparency, emphasizing that due process will take its course as the matter is now before the courts.
