Must Read

Organizers have announced a key venue change for the island’s 46th Independence celebrations due to concerns over infrastructure conditions at Mindoo Phillip Park following recent rainfall. While the Royal Saint Lucia Police Force’s Military Parade will proceed as scheduled at the park at 10:00 a.m. on February 22, 2025, the Independence Celebratory Rally and the Saint Lucia All Stars Concert will now take place at ‘The Sabb’ in Vigie.

The Independence Celebratory Rally is set to begin at 12:00 noon, followed by the highly anticipated Saint Lucia All Stars Concert at 4:00 p.m. The concert will feature top local performers, including Sly the Artiste, Shemmy J, Arthur Allain, and Ezra D’funmachine, backed by DYP.

Additional Independence Day festivities will continue nearby. SuperMotor will rev up the excitement at the Castries Waterfront from 10:00 a.m., while the Seafood Festival at the Castries Fisheries Complex will also kick off at 10:00 a.m., offering attendees a variety of entertainment and culinary experiences.

“With everything conveniently located within walking distance, we invite everyone, dressed in their national colours, to join us in celebrating our 46th Independence Anniversary Day. Immerse yourself in the festivities, enjoy various activities, and embrace the spirit of national pride. Wishing every Saint Lucian both here and abroad a safe and enjoyable 46th Independence Anniversary!” remarked Alanis Emmanuel, Independence Committee member.

The Independence Day celebrations aim to unite citizens and visitors in commemorating Saint Lucia’s 46 years of sovereignty, fostering a strong sense of national pride and togetherness.
